Instability of Periodic Sign-changed Waves for Sine-gordon Equation
The present paper deals with results of orbital instability of periodic waves related to sine-Gordon equation. Our periodic solutions obtained in our study tend to a kink wave solutions in the infinite wavelength scenario. The approaches used here will be the classical Grillakis, Shatah and Strauss’ theory.
متن کاملGeneralized solution of Sine-Gordon equation
In this paper, we are interested to study the Sine-Gordon equation in generalized functions theory introduced by Colombeau, in the first we give result of existence and uniqueness of generalized solution with initial data are distributions (elements of the Colombeau algebra). Then we study the association concept with the classical solution.
متن کاملMulti-solitary waves for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation
We consider the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation in R. We call multi-solitary waves a solution behaving at large time as a sum of boosted standing waves. Our main result is the existence of such multi-solitary waves, provided the composing boosted standing waves are stable. It is obtained by solving the equation backward in time around a sequence of approximate multisolitary waves and showing co...
متن کاملFlow equation approach to the sine-Gordon model
A continuous sequence of infinitesimal unitary transformations is used to diagonalize the quantum sine-Gordon model for β2 ∈ (2π,∞). This approach can be understood as an extension of perturbative scaling theory since it links weakto strong-coupling behavior in a systematic expansion: a small expansion parameter is identified and this parameter remains small throughout the entire flow unlike th...
متن کاملNoncommutative Sine-gordon Model Extremizing the Sine-gordon Action
As I briefly review, the sine-Gordon model may be obtained by dimensional and algebraic reduction from 2+2 dimensional self-dual U(2) Yang-Mills through a 2+1 dimensional integrable U(2) sigma model. I argue that the noncommutative (Moyal) deformation of this procedure should relax the algebraic reduction from U(2) → U(1) to U(2) → U(1)×U(1). The result are novel noncommutative sine-Gordon equa...
